So card battle games have consistently been horrible for games. And while it's possible for the mechanic to work. It's very clearly not working here in it's current form.
Brother, I appreciate it's supposed to be a roguelike, but I think it's a tiny bit overtuned. A skip button would be nice for the corruption scenes, as well.

This game is great, what are you on.
The only thing missing is more chapters and maybe some "artifact" power ups.
Rather simply, the combat sucks. It's literally impossible to get past the second room.
Skill issue, i've been on runs that were the 4th and 5th loops and it got boring. Besides, enemy scaling goes through the roof later loops
But i do agree early levels are too difficult, but they certainly are not impossible :)

would be nice if the blocking was as consistant as the attacking. like, lag spikes every time i try to block shouldn't be a thing.
I think this issue would simply vanish as soon as you get the game on your hard drive.
I think it's just the issue of loading assets (different animations)
